The timings for booking Tatkal tickets in AC and non-AC classes will change from June 15 as the Railways has amazed the timetable to decrease the heap on the ticketing site and booking windows.
As of now, the booking under Tatkal plan opens at 10 am on the earlier day of trip from train beginning station.
"It has been chosen that from June 15, timings for booking of Tatkal tickets will be stumbled for AC and non-AC classes to 10 am onwards and 11 am onwards separately," said a senior Railway Ministry official.
"The change has been affected to encourage bother free reserving by diminishing the heap on the server," he said.
As of now around 10,000 to 12,000 tickets are being reserved online IRCTC ticketing website at crest hours. "Amazing the planning for AC and non-AC Tatkal tickets will help lessening load at windows and the ticketing locales," he said.
Subsequently, now the reservation under Tatkal plan will open at 10 am on the earlier day of adventure from train beginning station for AC classes while that for non-AC classes will begin at 11 am on the earlier day of excursion from train starting station.
Also, a wide range of ticketing specialists including IRCTC operators will now be suspended from booking non-Tatkal tickets for 30 minutes from the opening of bookings, that is from 8 am to 8.30 am for general classes, from 10 am to 10.30 am for Tatkal AC classes, and from 11 am to 11.30 am for Tatkal non-AC classes.
